FO Friday

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!!

For most of us in the U.S. this has been a short week since it was Memorial Day but it feels like it's been a very long week for some reason!  I'm going to make this a quick post as I am running terribly late today since I forgot to set my alarm last night.  Whoops! I have two bracelets finished though to show you.  The first one is my Grandma's birthday present.  It's got blue and pink shell beads along with seed beads.  The second bracelet is made with bronze colored seed beads and it is a crochet rope bracelet.  I am not a fan of the closures because the bead caps will not stay put.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

WIP and Yarn Along 5/29/13

Who has heard of startitis?  This is a reasonably well known term among knitting blogs as I just Googled the definition for you guys and blog after blog after blog came up in the search results.  Startitis has been an issue for me as of lately.  I have a feeling it goes back to the crafting mojo I lost about a month ago and have struggled with since then.  I keep starting things and I'm just not making progress on them.  I work a couple stitches and then lose interest. So what do I do....instead of push through and finish something, I start something new.

My current WIPs are up to 4 and that does not include the beading projects that I have started.  I finally learned how to bead crochet and WHOA that is becoming an obsession.  Too bad I haven't figured out how to attach bead caps to my satisfaction.  The thread on my first completely finished one has stretched so the bead cap just kind of slides around.  That will be in my FO Friday post since I will FINALLY have one this week!

So...drumroll please....here are my WIPs this week.  First off I have the same moss stitch crochet blanket that I think I have been working on the blue row for days. (This is the stitch here and there project), I have the bubblegum chevron that I haven't really touched since last week.  I have a cowl that I just started Monday just to make sure I could still knit since most of my projects lately are crochet. And finally I decided to do a CAL that Rachele of BabyLove Brand and Mary from Crafty Goodness Crochet are hosting.  We are working on Bear's Rainbow Blanket (Ravelry Link Here).  Lastly you can see one almost finished crochet rope.  I screwed up the bead cap so I'm currently trying to decide on a new way to attach wire at the ends and hold the cap in place.  And another set of beads that took forever to thread so I haven't started crocheting yet.  My book got cut off but I'm starting another James Patterson book.

WIP and Yarn Along 5/14/13

Good morning everyone!

First off I want to apologize for my absence.  Work was busy and my hours changed so there was an adjustment period.  I typed up the start of a couple posts but never got to add pictures or actually post something.

Joining in with Tami and Ginny today.  So go check out what others are reading and working on.

I have been very scatterbrained in my projects.  My head is going a thousand miles on what I want to make and my hands just can't keep up.  So I have 2 crochet projects that I'm actively working on, 1 knitting project and 1 more crochet project that are in hibernation because I lost interest.

The first project is a pink and white chevron baby blanket.  This is my newest project. My second project I had just chained during my last WIP and Yarn Along post.  I haven't made it very far as the skeins of yarn have been so knotted that every couple of stitches I am untangling the yarn.  As always there is some beading mixed in there.  I made myself a wire crocheted bracelet that ended up being WAY too big so I have to cut the beads off and start over and I started making some earrings to post in my Etsy shop.  As for reading I just started one of James Patterson's newest books the 12th of Never.  This tends to be my favorite series by him but I'm only a chapter or two in so I can't really say whether it's good yet.
