WIP and Yarn Along 7/10/13

Hi Everyone! Happy Wednesday!! I'm so excited the week is halfway over.  And can you believe it...July 10th already!?! Where is time going? I opened an email from Joann Fabrics and they had a blurb about Christmas crafting already!!  I feel like summer just got here for us.  I'm hoping since summer was late the warmer weather will stick around a little longer in the fall so that we actually  have a fall and don't go from shorts to winter coats. 

I missed Yarn along and WIP last week because of extra hours at work and the holiday/my birthday which were both last Thursday.  I haven't had as much crafting time since it's been so hot I don't really feel like sitting with a big blanket on me while I crochet.  I have made a little more progress on the bubble gum chevron and I'm determined to finish this by the end of July.  There, I've said it in writing and now hopefully I'll stick with it.  And I re-started my ribbed knit infinity scarf.  I really like this and even though the yarn is super bulky it feels like a nice small project for summer knitting.  I was hoping to have this as a FO Friday post this week but I'm getting that nagging feeling I will be running out of yarn.  As far as reading goes it's still Something Borrowed. I'm not really enjoying this book but I feel like I should finish it since it's sitting on my kindle.
