Yarn Along and WIP 12/11/13

Good Morning everyone!

Just some quick housekeeping in case you don't follow the blog regularly.  Handmade by Jen is not being used anymore.  Long story short I was keeping a separate blog for personal stuff and then a separate one for the shop and the shop blog was never getting updated.  I created a whole post about it here.  I'm working on labeling all my posts so you all can read exactly what you want to read.  There's tabs for patterns, tutorials and recipes (which I just posted mint chocolate cookies that are fabulous! In case you are looking for Christmas cookie recipes)

To say thank you to you all for listening to my plans for the last 6 months I've created a coupon code YARNALONG for 10% off if you spend 5 dollars.  My goal is to get some resin cabochon jewelry listed this weekend.  Right now it's only hair ties so once that stuff is listed the 5 dollar mark will be really easy to hit!  This weekend all the Christmas hair ties will be going on sale for 15% off so check back over the weekend! The coupon code is active until December 31st.  So again thank you for bearing with me!

Now onto what I'm working on...this is a quick post with semi bad pictures because it currently looks like this:

So the light is awful this morning.  Ignore the fact that my Christmas lights decided to turn on as I was taking the picture.  The timer sensor is ridiculous.  But it's still snowing so it's going to be a fun ride into work.

My first project this week is a crochet wrap bracelet that I started last night while I was watching Home Alone.  These will eventually be going in my shop but I wanted to test my pattern out to make sure I don't drop beads everywhere and what better way to incorporate a little bit of Christmas in my outfits for the rest of the holiday season!  Once it's done it should be able to wrap around my wrist 3 or 4 times and be long enough to wear as a necklace if I want to.

My next WIP is an ear warmer that I just started this morning to match the cowl I made last week that was originally going in the shop but I liked so much I decided to keep for myself!  Whoops.  Once the snow moves out today we have a wind chill advisory so I want to try and finish this on lunch since it'll only be 4 or 5 rows.

My last WIP is another cowl that I started in the round.  I'm not as comfortable with in the round and I feel like I twisted it somewhere. but this yarn is a beautiful plum color!

I'm linking up with Ginny and Tami  head on over and check out what everyone else is working on!

  1. I really love that bracelet! I don't wear bracelets much because I always have fingerless mitts on but, for some reason, I still continue to buy bracelets.

  2. Lovely projects :) If your cowl is twisted somewhere then just tell everyone it's a mobius and you're actually really really clever ;-)
